Commentary
Aristodemos and Phanion honor their victorious daughter. Unfortunately the name of the daughter and the kind of contest are no longer legible on the damaged stone; it is not certain that this was a sports contest. Some scholars take the name Phanion to be that of the athlete, but epigraphically this is unlikely.
